Free El Paso Bible Study
Do you have questions about the Bible?
Are you trying to understand what God requires for salvation?
Have you wondered why there are so many different churches, doctrines, and religious practices?
Would you simply like to sit down with someone and examine what the Scriptures actually teach?
I offer free individual Bible studies in El Paso, Texas for anyone who sincerely wants to learn from the word of God.
There is no cost, no obligation, and no pressure. You do not have to already agree with me. Bring your Bible (or use one I will bring), bring your questions, and be willing to examine what the Scriptures say.
What Can We Study?
The study can begin with whatever Bible question or subject is on your mind.
Some common subjects include:
- What must I do to be saved?
- How can I know whether I am right with God?
- Is baptism necessary for salvation?
- What is repentance?
- Is faith alone enough?
- What church did Jesus establish?
- Why are there so many different churches?
- How should Christians worship God?
- Can people understand the Bible alike?
- How can I study the Bible for myself?
- What does the Bible teach about heaven, hell, judgment, and eternity?
- How should a Christian live?
If your question is not on that list, that is fine. The purpose of the study is not to follow a preset denominational lesson. The purpose is to open the Scriptures and search for the answer God has given.
“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (I Thessalonians 5:21).
What Should You Expect?
You can expect an open Bible and an honest discussion.
I will not ask you to accept something simply because I say it. The goal is to look carefully at what is written and allow the Scriptures to establish what is true.
The Bereans were commended because they: “…received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so" (Acts 17:11).
That is the kind of study I am offering.
You are encouraged to ask questions, examine the context of passages, compare Scriptures, and challenge anything that does not appear to agree with the word of God.
You Do Not Need To Know Much About The Bible
Perhaps you have never seriously studied the Bible before.
Perhaps you grew up around religion but still have unanswered questions.
Perhaps you have attended churches for years and have begun questioning whether what you were taught is actually in the Scriptures.
Perhaps you do not currently attend anywhere.
None of that prevents you from studying.
You do not need a certain level of Bible knowledge before beginning. You simply need a willingness to learn.
Jesus said: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).
This Is An Individual Bible Study
This is not primarily an invitation to attend a religious service. I am offering to personally sit down with you and study the Bible.
Studies can be arranged:
- In person in the El Paso area
- By telephone
- By Zoom
The length and frequency of the study can depend upon your schedule and the questions you want to examine. You may want to study one particular question for an hour. You may want to begin a longer study through several subjects. Either is fine. You decide!
Why Study The Bible?
Religious opinions are everywhere.
People say:
“I think…”
“My church teaches…”
“My preacher says…”
“I have always believed…”
“My family has always practiced…”
But when it comes to our relationship with God, human opinion is not the standard (Proverbs 3:5-7, Proverbs 14:12, and Galatians 1:6-10).
Jesus said: “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day" (John 12:48).
You Are Welcome To Ask Difficult Questions
You do not need to avoid controversial subjects. If you want to ask about salvation, baptism, faith, churches, divorce, homosexuality, worship, marriage, morality, denominationalism, spiritual gifts, judgment, or any other biblical subject, ask.
A sincere Bible study should not depend upon avoiding difficult passages or uncomfortable questions.
No Collection. No Charge. No Obligation.
There is no charge for a Bible study.
I am not trying to sell you a course, subscription, book, or religious product.
You will not be asked to give money.
You are not agreeing to become a member of anything simply by requesting a study.
You are simply agreeing to open the Bible and examine what it says.
